Motivated and directed by an ever evolving drive to further personal and professional development and with the promise of providing dedication, education, and purposeful results to all of his clients, the opportunity for growth was always a necessity and never an option.
After working individually in a large corporate fitness facility for over 13 years…the support, feedback, and growth opportunities for the programs being developed and implemented began to lack priority in the ever expanding model of large fitness clubs.
The inability to truly monitor and assess the specific needs and demands of each individual was lacking on many levels and training became a growing frustration rather than a passion. It was at this point that change was needed. The only realisitc solution was to take matters into a direction which created future opportunities for professional development along with once again placing focus on reigniting the passion for client centered change and results.
This motivation and passion combined with, the understanding of paradigm shifts and future developments in the fitness industry, lead to “a dream becoming a reality” with the opening of Precision Fitness & Performance Centre in March 2013. A goal that had been in the making since graduation from Fanshawe College (Fitness & Health Promotion Program) in 2000.
Brent’s emphasis on athletics growing up (primarily Hockey, Soccer) focused his lifestyle in and around the dedication and passion to sport and competition from an early age and further powered the knowledge behind the success.
On skates from the age of 2, hockey soon turned into what at the time seemed like a full time job (which many parents can attest to). Growing up locally Brent had the opportunity to compete at a highly competitive level, starting his playing career at the age of 5 with the Southeast Bruins organization, and in Atom moving onto AAA hockey with the London Rebels (now London Jr Knights). Summer months were spent with a provincial all star team made up of players representing all of South Western Ontario- Southwest Hawks. Later into his career Brent had the privilege of being drafted in the 1996 OHL Draft- Priority Selection by the Windsor Spitfires of the O.H.L. Majority of Brent’s Junior career was spent with both the Windsor Spitfires and the London Nationals Jr.B Hockey Club until the end of his Jr. Career in 2000.
After successful completion of a junior hockey career, Brent went on to attend training camp with the Odessa Jackalopes of the C.H.L (Central Hockey League), a semi pro team based in Odessa, Texas and farm system of the Edmonton Oilers N.H.L organization. Brent also spent time in Senior AAA Major Hockey League until eventually retiring from full time competitive hockey in 2005 to focus more time on a firm career path.
Upon completion of a two year diploma at Fanshawe College, Brent went on to further develop his professional background by obtaining a variety of industry specific certifications and developed his skills with continuing education programs, conferences, lectures and workshops with some of the industry’s most respected and well known presenters. The quest for knowledge was continuous and never became tiring.
Throughout Brent’s 19 years in the fitness industry to date, he has appeared in a variety of media (print, screen, and radio) programs, conducted over 50 workshops and seminars for team’s and local community groups, and has had the privilege of working with a variety of amateur, professional, national and olympic level athletes and teams. Not only has Brent become one of London’s most respected and in demand trainers, but is also known provincially for his work with a variety of athletes from many sports and backgrounds.
With a combination of athletic background, education and leading industry certification, Brent continues to develop his skills to further provide clients with unprecedented, elite, systematic training methods. Training designed to make PFPC the top location for weekend warriors, to serious athletes.
