Motivated by his passion for working with athletes from all backgrounds, Brent McKenzie turned a dream into a reality, with the opening of Precision Fitness & Performance Centre in March 2013. Upon completion of a two year Fitness & Health Promotion diploma at Fanshawe College (2000), Brent continued to develop his skills by attending various conferences, lectures and workshops with some of the industry’s most respected and well known presenters.  To date, Brent holds over 9 industry certifications – many specific to athletic performance.  Throughout Brent’s 27 + years in the fitness industry to date, he has appeared in a variety of media (print, screen, digital and radio) programs, conducted hundreds of workshops and seminars for team’s and local community groups, and has had the privilege of working with thousands of amateur, professional, national and olympic level athletes and teams.  Not only has Brent become one of London, Ontario’s most respected and in demand Strength & Conditioning Coaches/ Trainers, but he is also known across Canada for his commitment to the development of successful athlete strength and conditioning programs.

Growing up locally, Brent was involved in high level competition from an early age in a variety of sports (primarily Hockey, Soccer and Golf).  Starting at the age of 5, he spent most of his childhood playing AAA Minor hockey with the London Rebels organization (now London Jr. Knights). Summer months were spent with the Southwest Hawks, a select team representing Southwestern Ontario with many players that went on to play professionally and in the NHL.  As a teenager, Brent attended Sir Fredrick Banting SS where he played two years of high school hockey and soccer before being selected in the 1996 OHL Draft- Priority Selection by the Windsor Spitfires.  Majority of Brent’s Junior career was spent with both the Windsor Spitfires and the London Nationals Jr.B Hockey Club which he captained until the end of his Jr. Career in 2000.  After successful completion of a junior hockey career, Brent went on to attend training camp with the Odessa Jackalopes of the C.H.L (Central Hockey League), a semi pro team based in Odessa, Texas and farm system of the Edmonton Oilers N.H.L organization.  Brent also spent time in Senior AAA Major Hockey League until eventually retiring from full time competitive hockey in 2005 to focus more time on a firm career path.
